UPDATE: Counties Release Final Vote Count for November Elections, Incumbents Win the Day, Mostly

Voters kept incumbents in their seats with two exceptions, Mark Emery ousted Clint Olson on the fire district board, and Les Rubstello overtook Jeff Glickman for city council.

The final returns released by King County Elections and Snohomish County on Monday, Nov. 28, shows that voters overwhelmingly supporting incumbents. The exceptions are the ousting of Councilmember Jeff Glickman in favor of Planning Commissioner Les Rubstello and Fire Commissioner Clint Olson for newcomer Mark C. Emery.  Liz Aspen, who was running unopposed, garnered the largest amount of votes of any council candidate. Nancy Montgomery launched a last minute write-in campaign against Aspen, but never registered with the county elections office, so her name is not in official candidate results.

The highest amount of votes overall went to the Northshore School District races. Voters in King County preferred newcomer Joe Marshall to incumbent Janet Quinn, but Snohomish County voters stood by Quinn giving her the edge she needed to stay in office. Voters in both counties favored incumbent Dawn McCravey over former school board member BZ Davis.
