Pet of the Week: Chacota

Chacota is an 8-year-old grey and white, long-haired Maine coon. Chacota came from a hoarder in Eastern Washington where he didn't get spoiled the way cats deserve to be. He came towith fleas, ear mites and in overall poor condition, but he has received medical attention, is feeling much better and is now ready for adoption.

As a result of being one of over 40 cats in a single home, Chacota is under socialized and needs a lot of TLC. A quiet home with a patient and gentle heart would be best suited for this sweet love-starved guy so he can finally become accustomed to the love and attention that he so desperately deserves. Since being at Homeward Pet, Chacota is finally welcoming attention and has proven to be a very nice cat.

June is National Adopt A Shelter Cat month, and all month long, we’ll be making sure-thing matches on all adult (over 1 year-old) cats, like Chacota, but leaving your adoption fee to chance.  Will it be $5 off or $5 total? Homeward Pet Adoption Center is a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter serving the Greater Seattle area. Homeward Pet cares for homeless animals from all over Washington state, whether surrendered by owners, transferred from other rescue organizations, or removed from shelters than euthanize.

For more than 20 years, staff, volunteers and supporters of Homeward Pet have given these animals a second chance through rescue, shelter, and adoption programs.

Homeward Pet Adoption Center is located at 18800 Woodinville-Snohomish Rd, Woodinville, WA 98072.  The shelter is open from noon-6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
