Pet of the Week: Daisy

This pooch was rescued from an Idaho shelter just before time ran out and was taken to temporary safety. Now she's at Homeward Pet Adoption Center.

Daisy is a special dog who is looking for a special home. She was rescued from an Idaho shelter just before time ran out and was taken to temporary safety. Now she's at where she is waiting for her forever home. This sweet-natured, one-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier is 48 pounds, very athletic and she loves to please!

Daisy would like to find an active owner who can provide her with ample daily exercise and attention. Her new person should own their own home, possess knowledge of her breed, and have previous experience with strong breed dogs. A securely fenced yard will also be required.

Daisy already knows several commands and she's eager to learn more. Naturally intelligent, she will be a natural for ongoing obedience classes, and she looks forward to continued socialization with people and other animals. Daisy hasn't met many cats before, but she is good with other dogs. A male canine housemate would be the best match for her. She would make a great family pet and would be best suited for kids over the age of six years. Daisy is ready to show the world what an excellent representative of her breed she is. All she needs is to find that special person to guide her.
