Pet of the Week: Reebok

After treatment to repair damage from a dog attack, this little guy is ready for a new home.

Reebok is a charming gentleman looking for his forever home, here at Homeward Pet.

At 10 years old and 23 pounds, this Whippet mix is calm and well behaved. Sadly, Reebok had been attacked by a roaming dog, and had to have a wire placed in his jaw. He is now all healed up and ready to go home!

He is sometimes afraid of fast movements and loud noises, so he would do best in a quieter home with children over the age of 10. He has lived successfully with cats and other dogs but can be a little timid when he first meets them.

This polite pooch loves to go for walks and enjoys stretching his legs. He can be an attention hog, though, and loves to be petted and snuggled. He is house trained and knows commands like come here, sit, lay down, roll over, and shake. You won't meet another dog as well behaved as him. He loves to go for leisurely walks and is great on leash. Reebok is also quiet and respectful, and will ease into your family like he has always been there.

Reebok was originally surrendered to Homeward Pet along with his housemate, Jasmine, after their owners could no longer afford their care due to Reebok’s injuries from the attack. Jasmine has since been adopted, but Reebok is still waiting for his new family. Patient as ever, though, Reebok doesn't let his stay at the shelter get him down.

Reebok just loves to hang out and relax with the volunteers and staff here at Homeward Pet. Don't let his age fool you. This guy has lots of life left, and plenty of love to give.

Like all animals from Homeward Pet, Reebok has been neutered, but if you have a male dog or cat at home that hasn’t, help to control the number of kittens and puppies that are born, and may end up homeless, or worse, euthanized, by neutering your cat or dog. Homeward Pet is offering neutering every Wednesday for just $5 for a cat and $30 for a dog now through Aug. 31. Call (425) 488-4444 ext. 410 to make an appointment.
