Pet of the Week: Shep

After being kept by animal hoarders, he's looking for a safe and secure home where he can be the center of attention.

Shep is a handsome young dog who has come to in search of a better life. After being kept by animal hoarders, he's looking for a safe and secure home where he can be the center of attention. Shep is about 18-months-old, and he's looking for someone who can help him grow socially so he can feel comfortable around new people and in new situations. He has not been exposed to children before, so he's looking to be placed with older teenagers and adults. Sixty-one pound Shep is very fond of women and needs take things slowly to develop trusting relationships with men. He is eager to please, and we can tell that he has an inner desire to love everyone.

Shep can be good with other dogs if he’s allowed to slowly adjust and acclimate. He’s known to be a cat chaser, so his compatibility with felines is in question. Shep is a dog with limitless potential. All he needs is to find an understanding and patient person to show him the way. If that's you, he'd love to meet you!
