Pet of the Week: Shiloh

Shiloh is full of youthful energy and absolutely loves to play until he drops!

This spunky little guy is Shiloh! He hails from the San Fernando Valley in California, where animal overpopulation continues to be a significant concern. This is especially true for smaller breed dogs like himself. Thankfully, these dogs are not without help. Weekly efforts are organized to transfer these sweet souls out of harm’s way before time runs out.

This is true for our friend, Shiloh. Happy to have found his way north, he’s now safe and sound at , where he waits for his new family to discover him. At just over a year old, he has a lifetime of love to offer the right person. He weighs 13 pounds, making him a good choice for someone looking for a very active and outgoing smaller companion. Shiloh is full of youthful energy and absolutely loves to play until he drops! His goal is to find an owner who can keep up with him, and also someone who can provide structure, guidance, and house training instruction.

While Shiloh is very active, he will also settle down nicely once his exercise needs are met. He seems a bit too interested in cats to recommend a home with them, but he enjoys playing and socializing with other dogs. Potential canine companions should be compatible with his rough and tumble play style. Shiloh feels most comfortable with older people, so a home with teenagers and adults will be with best match for him.

Shiloh is ready to put his shelter days behind him and embark on his new life. Homeward Pet is located at 13132 NE 177th Place in Woodinville. The shelter is open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
