A Woodinville wine was featured on Friday's episode the NBC Today Show Friday morning

The segment with Hoda and Kathy Lee listed wines with a charity component, including the . The $12 O Wine (O stands for opportunity) provides scholarship funds for underprivileged/at risk young girls. 

The wine was described on the show as having ripe fruit flavors underscored with a pop of brightness.

Ste. Michelle Wine Estates said earlier this year it planned to release the regional brand nationally with future vintages.

O Wines was established in 2006 by Stacy Lill and Kathy Johanson and the brand has funded more than 40 student scholarships in four years by partnering with organizations like the College Success Foundation. Many of the scholarship recipients were the first members of their families to attend college.

A minimum of $50,000 will be donated to fund scholarships in 2013.
