75 cents is still an awesome deal!

Any sustained heavily subsidized public transit is inappropriate, and unfairly distorts theRead More marketplace, as well as demographics. If uncorrected, subsidized transit should be terminated. Fully allocated costs should be charged, and if ridership fails, let the consequence speak for itself.

This is a step in the right direction compared to Judy Clibborn and her transportation package. IRead More would also like to see the RTA taxes increased for those cities where light rail runs. As a Woodinville resident I have paid way more than my fair share and will never benefit from all that over budget, under utilized, delayed infrastructure,

Hopefully, the two parties will find some common ground on some of these items. I'd like to see themRead More add "preservation and maintenance" as a funding priority. After seeing that the House's proposal only put 11% there, and having a major bridge collapse in part a reflection of questionable maintenance as well as an insufficient inspection staff and loose, weakly-enforced regulations on commercial carriers. Now, we are all paying the price, whether it be directly (Skagit County businesses and travelers) or indirectly (reduced sales tax revenues into the state's coffers).

It appears that Sound Transit's Eastlink is yet another example of throwing (the public's) goodRead More money after bad money... To the tune of 2.8 Billion dollars!

Good information. My blood boils over Sound transit and the boondoggle that is light rail.Read More Billions of tax payer dollars wasted on a program that was predicted to fail from the beginning. Another example of why liberalism is a mental disorder and is a failure everytime it is tried. I will give them credit, they will do and say anything to get their agenda pushed through and they won't lose any sleep about their lies.

People will not give up their cars until fuel reaches $10 per gallon, parking reaches $500 per monthRead More and another hour per day is spent in gridlock. Even then we have vanpools, carpools and bicycles.
