Health & Fitness

It’s the end of summer as we know it… Until next year

School starts up again this week and I'm very excited for my senior year.

School starts this week and I’m actually pretty excited. I’ve got really cool teachers, I’ll get to see all my friends again, and I got a year round parking pass this year which means I don’t have to worry about parking for the whole year!

So much better than last year, when I didn’t get my pass app in on time and got stuck with waking up half an hour early (which was 4:45 in the morning), then having to deal with a seasonal pass the rest of the year, which was a huge pain. But I got a year round pass, so it’s all good. :)

I’m also glad about the teachers I got. My college prep English teacher is the teacher my older brother had and he said she was an awesome teacher. That makes me very excited. Of course the best part about this year is that it’s my SENIOR YEAR!!!! This is going to be so completely awesome. Being top of the school, getting to go off campus at lunch, being able to sit up front at football games. I’m very excited, in case you couldn’t tell. :)

Plus, last year the school was under major construction, so this year we get a new school! It’s much bigger than the old one. Bigger hallways, bigger staircases. And the school’s so much nicer. The only thing I’m not excited about is waking up early again. Ugh. Since I live kinda far away from my school (and because I take so long getting ready in the morning), I have to get up at 5:15 am. That’s just disgustingly early.

But at least I get out of school at 1:40 pm. The annoying thing is I have college prep English 1st period. Why do they always put the classes that you really have to pay attention to in 1st or 2nd period? I mean, no one’s really awake until about 3rd period anyways. I guess whoever puts together the schedules is friends with/ related to the person who thought it was a good idea to start high school at 7 am instead of 9 am. And then the teachers get mad at us for not being awake/ sleeping during their class.

We can’t help it! Most teenagers go to bed at about midnight or later. And we need the most sleep besides infants. It’s so stupid! But all spiels about high school being too early aside, I am super excited about the new school year. It’s going to be totally awesome.
