Come celebrate World Water Day 2013 with IslandWood and King County at the Brightwater Center on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Come celebrate World Water Day 2013 with IslandWood and King County at the Brightwater Center on Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Explore the world of water; how we use it, what we do to it, and what that means for the world we live in. We’ll have activities for all ages - learn how to test the water quality of a local stream, discover how to make your very own non-toxic cleaners, go on a scavenger hunt in the wetlands and forests of Brightwater, and add your artwork and water pledge to our Water Quality Quilt.

The celebration will be ongoing from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – register at http://brightwaterworldwaterday.eventbrite.com

For ages nine and up, tours of the state-of-the-art Brightwater Clean Water Treatment Facility will be available starting at 10 a.m. and noon  Pre-registration is required at: http://green.kingcounty.gov/wastewater-education/apptrequest.aspx
