Canyon Park Junior High School Science Olympiad Team Only Team to Represent State at National Competition

The Canyon Park Junior High School Science Olympiad team will be jetting off May 14 to the Science Olympiad National Tournament, May 17–18, at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, to represent the state. The 14-member team won the B (grades 7–9) division at the Washington State Science Olympiad, competing against 19 other schools in 25 categories covering biology, chemistry, earth science, astronomy, physics and technology.

Congratulations, Canyon Park, and good luck at the national competition!

Science Olympiad is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of K-12 science education, creating a passion for learning science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers. The Science Olympiad National Tournament is the pinnacle of achievement for 120 of the country's best Science Olympiad teams, representing more than 2,000 students.
