Clean Planet Car Wash Gets $350,000 Eco-Friendly Upgrade

Renovations begin today at Woodinville’s Clean Planet Car Wash as the company begins implementation of a $350,000 ChoiceWash XT upgrade to their current car wash system. The project is expected to take approximately two to three weeks, with completion of both bays expected around the middle of March. The new ChoiceWash will offer a quicker, greener, and cleaner car wash experience. Clean Planet requests that customers be patient through the upgrade, but assure patrons that one bay will be open at all times, and that the benefits of the new automotive cleaning system will far outweigh the inconvenience.

Although the current automotive cleaning system was cutting-edge when it was installed four years ago, Clean Planet is committed to staying abreast of the most innovative and eco-friendly carwash technology.

The ChoiceWash XT offers customers three carwash choices. You may choose state-of-the-art SoftTec brush technology, which uses closed cell polyethylene foam to safely and gently clean and polish even the most sensitive paint finishes; a completely brushless wash utilizing only water pressure and soap; or the Ultimate Wash, which combines the best of both brushless and SoftTec technology.

The high-end detailing technicians at Clean Planet Detailing, the car wash’s sister company, are sympathetic to car owner concerns about the damage older carwash brushes could cause after multiple cleanings; however, field-testing shows that after 300 washes, there is no sign of fine scratches or the tiniest trace of residue left using SoftTec brush materials.

In keeping with the most environmentally safe technology possible, the ChoiceWash XT will use as little as 15 gallons of water per vehicle, compared to the up to 40 gallons used by the existing system. This improvement is significantly less than the 80 to 140 gallons of water you would use to clean your car at home using a watering hose. The ChoiceWash XT also uses a state of the art water reclamation system in combination with the advances in new equipment to use computer-controlled, high-pressure nozzles and pumps that minimize both water and electricity.
