WOODINVILLE, Wash. − (August 5, 2013) – Fidelitas Wines has opened a new tasting room in Woodinville and owner/winemaker Charlie Hoppes will be on-hand every Saturday in August to welcome guests and pour wine.  The new facility shares a similar look and feel to the winery’s Red Mountain tasting room, located in close proximity to the vineyards that grow most of the grapes used in Fidelitas wines.

Fidelitas’ Western Washington tasting room is centrally located in the heart of Woodinville Wine Country’s tourist district at 14467 Woodinville-Redmond Road, within close proximity to the landmark Hollywood Schoolhouse.  The tasting room will be open from noon to 6pm daily; the $10 tasting fee is refundable with a wine purchase.

“Our wines are now almost exclusively grown on Red Mountain,” explains Hoppes, “and our daily tastings will give guests the opportunity to learn more about this incredible appellation and the diversity of its vineyards.”  Like the Red Mountain tasting room, Fidelitas’ new Woodinville location uses steel, glass and rough-hewn wood to create an urban, modern vibe.

Hoppes crushed his first grapes in Washington in 1988 and is one of the most acclaimed winemakers in the state.  Recent awards include recognition as “Winemaker of the Year” in the August 2013 issue of Seattle Magazine.

Founded in 2000, Fidelitas offers a diverse collection of vineyard-designated Bordeaux varieties and blends from Red Mountain, Washington’s smallest AVA.  Hoppes works in partnership with Red Mountain’s finest growers to capture the distinct character of the vineyard and purest expression of the fruit.  The wines are handcrafted and aged in small lots, showing exceptional character, varietal expressions and structure.
