Wineries Invite Woodinville Neighbors to Receive the “ZIP” Treatment

Woodinville, Wash.– June 3, 2013 – Woodinville locals and surrounding neighbors are invited to visit any one of 30 area wineries to receive “ZIP” treatment, that’s Woodinville Wine Country code for a “VIP” program open to area residents at participating wineries. Organized by Woodinville Wine Country, the new program includes such offers as purchase discounts and complimentary wine tastings available to residents residing in the 98072, 98052 and 98077 zip codes. To receive ZIP benefits, guests simply show their driver’s license at the participating winery or tasting room. A list of ZIP wineries and specific offers are published on the Woodinville Wine Country web site and includes the following wineries: Alta Cellars, Ancestry Cellars, Auclair, Brian Carter Cellars, Bunnell Family Cellar, Castillo de Feliciana, Columbia, Convergence Zone Cellars, Covington Cellars, Cuillin Hills, Davenport, DeLille Cellars, Des Voigne, Elevation Cellars, Eye of the Needle, Forgeron, Gard Vintners, Goose Ridge Estate, Isenhower Cellars, J. Bookwalter, Kaella, Lauren Ashton, Michael Florentino/Gecko Wine Company, Novelty Hill-Januik, Patterson, Pondera, Robert Ramsay, Silver Lake, Smasne and Woodinville Wine Cellars. “Woodinville has become a world-class wine tasting destination for visitors from around the globe, and this is one way of inviting our neighbors to experience the best of Woodinville Wine Country for themselves,” says Carol Munro, president of Woodinville Wine Country. The association is also hosting a wine garden at Celebrate Woodinville’s summer concert series this season as another way of encouraging local residents to experience the area’s premier wines. Woodinville is the first winery association in the state to offer a program designed exclusively for residents of the surrounding community. “It’s our way of inviting our neighbors to feel like they are part of the wine district themselves,” says Munro. Conveniently located 25 minutes northeast of downtown Seattle, Woodinville is home to nearly 100 Washington wineries and tasting rooms.
