10. Cyclist Found Unresponsive on Sammamish River Trail Near Woodinville. Authorities from Woodinville Fire and Rescue confirmed there was a death on the Sammamish River Trail near Woodinville in September.

9. Woodinville High School Student's Death Prompts Talk of Suicide Prevention Club. After a fellow student's death, a group of students wanted to start a suicide prevention club at Woodinville High School.

8. Update: Power Outage Ends Bonnie Raitt Concert at Chateau Ste. Michelle. A tree branch on a power line left 1,300 Woodinville customers without power and cut short the sold-out Bonnie Raitt/Mavis Staples concert at Chateau Ste. Michelle.

7. Woodinville's Big Daddy's is Closed. The bar and restaurant was known for its live music nights, drawing bands from across the Puget Sound.

5. Woodinville Driver Killed in Wrong Way Crash on 520 During Morning Commute. The crash involved a 22-year-old Woodinville woman who died when her 2000 Mitsubishi Galant crashed into a semi-truck in February when she headed eastbound in the westbound lanes of the freeway following being rear ended by another car, according to the Washington State Patrol.

4. Family of Boy Killed in Newtown, CT Plans Move to Seattle Area. The family of has relatives in Woodinville, and Pozner's mother said she plans to move the family to the Seattle area in 2013.

3. Cyclist Found on Trail in Woodinville Identified A Kenmore man was found unresponsive on the Sammamish River Trail in September.

2. No Refunds for Bonnie Raitt Concert at Chateau Ste. Michelle. People had a lot to say in comments when they found out no refunds would be given after this concert was cut short.

One of my ex-students, Heather Pressler, a DECA award winner from Inglemoor, is now a PhD candidate in molecular biology back on the East Coast. DECA opens so many doors to success.
