21 Acres Has Community Garden Spots Available

Looking for a place in Woodinville to grow vegetables? 21 Acres still has plots available and it's not too late to get started.

Don’t have a yard big enough to garden, or is you yard too shady for the six hours of daily sun needed to grow veggies? For as low as $50 you can rent a garden plot at

21 Acres Good Earth Community Garden in Woodinville still has spots available. The new space has been plowed, tilled, and amended with lime, compost and bone meal, according to Brenda Vanderloop, spokesperson for the non-profit organization.

“We have ten by twenty and twenty by twenty gardening plots available for use. We will also have some raised boxes available later in June - they will be moved into place and filled with soil,” Vanderloop wrote on 21 Acres website.

The mission of the Good Earth Community Garden is to work collaborative as a community, cultivate a place for individuals, families and friends to learn and experience the rewards of gardening, encourage environmental stewardship, provide a place to create and nurture organic gardens, Vanderloop wrote.

A $50 deposit is required that is refunded if you leave your plot in the garden in ready order when you stop gardening. Yearly plot rentals are $50 for 10x20 and $100 for 20x20.
