Artifact ID Day at Woodinville Heritage Society

Is that a real arrowhead? The Woodinville Heritage Society will help you determine just that this Saturday, Feb. 18.

 

If you've ever been digging in the yard and turned up an old bone or piece of stone that looks an awful lot like an arrowhead, then you may want to attend the Artifact ID Day at the Woodinville Heritage Society Saturday, Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon at the .

The King County Historic Preservation Programis partnering with the University of Washington’s Burke Museum for local archaeologists to be available to the public to identify cultural objects such as stone and bone tools found in the region The focus of Saturday’s program will be on artifacts from the Puget Sound area, but objects from elsewhere are also welcome, although the archaeologists can’t promise any definitive answers. No appraisals will be given.
