Author Appearances in Woodinville and Beyond for September

Authors are coming to Woodinville, Lake Forest Park and Seattle to talk about their books.

Here are some of the upcoming appearances; talks are free unless otherwise noted.

Marianne Binetti, gardener and author of Edible Plants for Washington and Oregon, among other books, will speak on Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. She will be talking about inspiration from world-class gardens.

Dan Hinkley, renowned horticulturist and author of The Explorer’s Garden, will speak about fall winter gardening on Sept. 23 at 6 p.m.  The $10 fee includes a glass of wine, register here. The store will stay open until 8 p.m.

James A. Reeves, The Road to Somewhere: An American Memoir (W.W. Norton), Sept. 8, 7 p.m.

Calvin Trillin, Quite Enough of Calvin Trillin: Forty Years of His Funny Stuff (Random House), co-sponsored by Town Hall Seattle, at Town Hall, 1119 Eighth Avenue, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door starting at 6:30 p.m.

Julie Salamon, Wendy and the Lost Boys: The Uncommon Life of Wendy Wasserstein (Penguin Press), Sept. 19, 7 p.m., this talk is co-sponsored by Seattle Library and will be held at the library.
