  • Where/When: 6:30-9 p.m. on Friday, March 16, at  in Woodinville
  • Why Go: You won’t want to miss this evening at Matthews Estate. The night will feature live music by Mark Morel and the Illuzionz, a local five-piece jazz band. They’ll be set up inside the Barrel Room, with a limited amount of chairs and tables available. You can bring your own picnic, or enjoy the food services of G&G Dogs and The Box.
  • Cost: Free.

 

  • Where/When: 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, at  in Woodinville.
  • Why Go: Whether you have a new garden, an older, overgrown garden, or an area that needs updating or renovating, a landscape designer can be tremendously helpful. Meet and greet representatives from local, hand-selected landscape design companies in a friendly, no-pressure environment. Connect with experts, hear about their specialties and learn what they can do for you. No appointment necessary, just stop in and get encouraged, informed and inspired.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: 12-7 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, at the  in Woodinville.
  • Why Go: Celebrate the luck of the Irish at Airfield Estates this Saturday. The event will feature wine tasting, wine-by-the-glass, green wine, wine discounts for those who wear green, and live music performed by singer-songwriter, TJ Sherril from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Cost: Admission is free. Wine tasting fees may apply.

 

  • Where/When: 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, at the Eastside Foursquare Church in Bothell.
  • Why Go: Pull out your hippest green gear and join the Eastside Foursquare Church as they celebrate health and fitness in style. Join some of the best Zumba instructors around for this three-hour ZWear Party and Triathlon.
  • Cost: $5. Proceeds from the event benefit Queen, It’s A New Day, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing confidence back to women who have been broken down from life experiences.

  • Where/When: 7-9 a.m. on Sunday, March 18, at  in Redmond.
  • Why Go: Take a break from watching all the buzzer beaters and join the city of Redmond for the March Madness 5K at Perrigo Park. The event is chip-timed and the first male/female finishers will win shoes from FootZone.
  • Cost: $20. Registration ends March 16. There is no day-of race registration! Bring nonperishable food for Hopelink donations.

  • Where/When: 7:30-9 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, at .
  • Why Go: Join the Eastside Symphony Orchestra as they perform two popular orchestral suites by Copland and Holst, as well as a unique work for low flutes and strings that was commissioned for the Eastside Symphony. Also on the program is an original composition by one of the orchestra members.
  • Cost: $10 for adults, $7 for seniors and youths.

  • Where/When: 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, in downtown Kirkland.
  • Why Go: Run or walk your way through beautiful Kirkland in celebration of St. Patrick's Day at the 1st Annual Kirkland Shamrock 5K Race & Family Fun Run this Saturday. The course runs through Kirkland with many vistas of the Olympic Mountains and Lake Washington. Runners and walkers alike will find a pot of gold awaiting them at the finish line and receive complimentary entrance to the post-race festivities at The Wilde Rover Irish Restaurant.
  • Cost: Registration is $35.
