Donate Your Homegrown Produce to Hopelink at Molbak's

Finally summer has arrived and brought heat with a vengeance, now everything in the garden in ripening faster than it can be eaten.

Not to worry, take that excess homegrown bounty to this Saturday and every Saturday through September for Hopelink.

For the past two summers, Molbak’s has collected food for , the Redmond-based non-profit organization that helps feed people in need in the region. Last year Molbak’s collected more than 2,200 pounds of fresh produce for Hopelink.

“Fresh fruits and vegetables are an incredibly important part of what we offer at Hopelink.  Without donations of fresh produce we are only able to offer the very basic food staples.  It is ideal when we are able to offer a variety with donated produce,” Glen Miller, Hopelink communications manager.

Take your bagged homegrown fruit, herbs and vegetables and drop them off in the green cart inside Molbak’s garden store door, near the cashier’s station. You can also drop off your donations at any of Hopelink’s five food banks Monday through Friday during business hours.
