Duvall Heritage Festival: A Trip into the Past

The festival is Saturday, Sept. 24 and compliments the King County farm festival.

Bring the whole family and be a pioneer for a day at the Duvall Heritage Festival at the historic Dougherty Farmstead at 26520 NE Cherry Valley Road NE in Duvall on Saturday Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Fun for the family includes tours, antique displays, demonstrations, children’s activities, and musical entertainment.

Activities include:

  • Butter churning, rope making, corn grinding, and clothes scrubbing.
  • Folk music by the Big Rock Candy Mountain Band, local folk songs and storytelling by Bob Antone, and Fiddling music by Tinker’s Dram. 
  • Blacksmith, spinning, and mule plowing demonstrations. 
  • Tours of the National Landmark Dougherty Farmhouse, bunk house, tool shed and milk house.
  • Antique tractor and quilt displays.

This free celebration of Duvall’s history is co-sponsored by the Duvall Historical Society, City of Duvall, and Duvall Cultural Commission.
