The event will feature tree planting, drumming, a fire ceremony, kid activities, tours of the new 21 Acres green building, resource and information tables and a community potluck dinner!   • Why Go: Join volunteers at Juanita Bay Park to celebrate our Earth Day this Saturday.  EarthCorps crews and Native Plant Stewards will be leading activities to remove harmful invasive plants and spread woodchip mulch. Dress for weather and bring sturdy shoes or boots, work gloves if you have your own, and a water bottle.

  • When/Where: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday through Sunday, April 20-22, at  in Redmond.
  • Why Go: Celebrate Earth Day and Farm Fun at Dr. Maze’s Farm this weekend. Choose from the herb and lavender plant starts for your garden. Attend classes on herbs, lavender, chickens, and goats. Enjoy activities including mazes, crafts, classes, demos, Dr. Maze's Rubber Duck Races, hayrides, refreshments and more. The Farm Tots theme is Earthworms for Earth Day.

Saturday, April 21: Bellevue’s Arbor Day-Earth Day Family Festival at 

  • 11 am to 1 pm
  • For families with kids of all ages
  • Rangers will be handing out free Arbor Day Passports to kids who’ll get their passport stamped as they visit ecology education stations around the park. Completed passports may be turned in for a prize.

Saturday, April 21: Free Family Day: Earth Day Celebration at the 

  • 1 pm to 4 pm
  • For families with children ages four to twelve.
  • Fun filled event featuring hands-on educational activities, art projects and artist demonstrations all celebrating Earth Day.
  • Kids can make their own woven paper shell turtle, design a flower pot, create a butterfly plant tag and make a fossil impression.
  • Cost: Free admission to the museum and all activities free as well

  • 2 pm to 4 pm
  • For families with kids of all ages.
  • Give an old shoe a new life!! Bring in an old shoe and create a beautiful new planter. Flowers and planting materials supplied.

  • When/Where: 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at  in Sammamish.
  • Why Go: Celebrate Earth Day by volunteering to clean up Beaver Lake Park. This volunteer event is best for families, groups and volunteers of all ages.
