21 Acres Wine Bottle Garden Workshop

Upcycle to a Wine Bottle Garden. Rather than recycling your empty wine bottles, upcycle them into this great do it yourself project. This hands on workshop will show you how to re-use those wine bottles and show how they serve as heat conductors in your home garden. Start saving those bottles now! We’ll be creating a “pizza garden” at 21 Acres with your collection of bottles; then later this summer, you can reap the rewards of the garden and enroll for the 21 Acres Harvest Pizza cooking class using the wood-fired brick oven on the Farm. (Harvest Pizza class scheduled for Saturday, August 27th.) Bring your empty bottles (750 ml size only) day of workshop. Dress for gardening, rain or shine. Workshop leaders are Chef Emily Moore and 21 Acres Farm Manager, Rosy Smit. Moore, Chef instructor at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Seattle is recognized for her flavorful creations and has received top reviews from local and regional food critics for her innovative local cuisine. Smit brings her expertise in agriculture, management and farm education.
