Featured Event: Passport to Woodinville

Tickets are on sale for the popular wine event, this year passport weekend is April 21-22.

 

Tickets are selling quickly to . The annual spring event, held this year Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., offers wine lovers an opportunity to swirl, sip and sample their way through an exciting array of new and current releases at more than 30 participating Woodinville wineries. Tickets are $65 for a two-day pass, $55 for Sunday only now through March 25. After March 25, a two-day ticket will sell for $75, a one-day pass increases to $65. Tickets are only available on-line at brownpapertickets.com.

Named one of “America’s 50 Most Amazing Wine Experiences” by Food & Wine magazine, Passport to Woodinville offers Washington wine lovers the opportunity to experience Woodinville’s booming wine scene.

Ticket holders receive a glass and passport, allowing one-time entry to participating wineries. No passport is required for designated drivers; and for the first time this year, participants may purchase an additional Shuttle Express ticket for $10 to use for travel between participating wineries.

“Woodinville is one of Washington’s fastest growing wine country destinations because of the quality of the wines and its close proximity to Seattle,” notes marketing coordinator Gretchen Smith. “The area has attracted a talented group of vintners, including some of the Washington’s most experienced winemakers as well as small, family-run operations born out of a passion for Washington wine,” she says.

Here's a step-by-step:

  1. Log in to Patch. .
  2. Click on "Events" on the top of the page.
  3. At the bottom of the Events page, click "Add an Event."
  4. Give your event a title.
  5. Choose a date, starting time and end time. If your event repeats, check the box that says "This event happens more than once or is an ongoing event."
  6. Under "Where," type in an address or the name of a location. If adding an address, include the city so the site knows where to place the event. Once you have a location, click on that location to save it.
  7. Fill out a description for your event. Tell us why we should be there and what to expect at the event.
  8. If you'd like to add photos, videos or a flier, click "Choose files to upload."
  9. Choose a category and fill out any other information, such as who the event is best for, the price, a contact number or email address, website, etc.
  10. Click "Post My Event."
  11. Tell all your friends how easy it was!
