  • Why Go: If you've ever wanted to learn to swing dance, this Sunday might be the best time to try it out. Eastside Swing Dance another one of their Sunday Swing Dances at the North Bellevue Community Center.. The dance starts with free group lesson from 7:00-7:30 p.m. and then you'll get to dance the night away. Not sure Swing Dancing is for you?   • Why Go: Parklane Gallery’s second annual "Around the Block" exhibit opened this past Tuesday and will be on display through Sunday, December 4. The featured paintings and photographs are 12 inches by 12 inches in size, and are created by artists from the Puget Sound area as well as Parklane's member artists. Stop by the gallery this Friday night for the Around the Block Artist Reception for a chance to meet the artists, mingle with friends and enjoy this wonderful exhibit.

  • Why Go: Join the Green Kirkland Partnership this Saturday to celebrate Arbor Day by planting over 700 native plants and trees in Juanita Bay Park. Planting will begin in the morning and then at noon, a special Arbor Day tree planting ceremony.  EarthCorps crews and Native Plant Stewards will lead planting activities. Some invasive plant removal might be included.

Participating organizations include Hopelink, Kirkland Interfaith Transitions in Housing, Habitat for Humanity, Sibling House, Heifer Project International, Church World Service, Ten Thousand Villages, and many more.
