Homeward Pet Offering $22 Adoptions on Wednesday

To celebrate their 22nd Anniversary, Homeward Pet is offering $22 pet adoptions on Wednesday, Feb. 22 from noon to 6:00 p.m.

Homeward Pet usually has around 70 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens on hand, all of which are spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated before being adopted out.

The adoption process consists of filling out a simple application, spending time picking out and meeting your future pet, and filling out a bit of paper work.

Terrie Inglis, executive director at Homeward Pet, says that finding the right home for each pet is the most important part of the process.

"We want them to be in their homes forever," Inglis said.

Homeward Pet also makes sure that each dog goes home with a collar and leash, and that each cat goes home with a pet carrier. There's also a small retail section at Homeward Pet, ensuring that the new owners can get pretty much everything they need for their animal.

Inglis says that Homeward Pet typically places 25-35 pets a week and they hope to exceeed those numbers with this anniversary special.
