Letter to Editor: Extend Sidewalks Near Gold's Gym, Woodinville High School

Good morning,

As school has begun, and reading the receipt of the National Award, [I'm] asking how to initiate the city to clean up and extend the sidewalks, that are present on 140th Ave NE, end for a certain time as it turns into Woodinville-Snohomish Road, then begin again.

The area, across from Gold’s gym, has a donation site that is normally filthy with litter, the streets are overgrown with trees and shrubs, and at times, homeless and/or beggars are in that area during school times. Any advice who I may contact to clean up this site? Trim back trees, bushes?

As I’ve walked with my son, these roads are dangerous to do so without sidewalks; Drivers speed, the crossing of Woodinville-Snohomish Road, at Red light intersection to cross onto 195th street, is dangerous as drivers are revving engines, while at Red Light, some turn on the red light before looking which causes us angst to either stop or run across.  Recently, two mothers with strollers, had to hurry because of the cars’ ‘nudging’.

Any advice or guidance, as to whom I can turn to with these safety needs, would be appreciated.
