Lost Dog: Maggie

This family dog was last seen at her home along NE Woodinville-Duvall Road on New Year's Eve. Noise from fireworks startled her and she left home. The Fink family is asking for help finding Maggie.

Alexis Fink and her family have had a bad start to 2012, their beloved black Labrador-Newfoundland mix dog was lost on New Year's Eve.

Family pet Maggie is a 75 pounds and very friendly. She was frightened by fireworks at about 5:45 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and took off, according to Fink.

“We’ve been combing the area and can’t find hide nor hair of her. We live about halfway between Woodinville and Duvall (along Woodinville-Duvall Rd),” Fink wrote in an email.

Maggie has ID tags, rabies vaccination tag, King County pet license tag on her collar and is microchipped. “So we’re hoping that she somehow just managed to slip her collar and is holed up with some friendly people who are waiting till business opens again to take her to a vet and check for her chip.  Her chip is a little hard to detect, evidently, so best case is they’ll take her to Cherry Valley Vet and they’ll say ‘We know this dog!’”

Fink says Maggie is not just big in size, but a big softy too. ‘She’s is the most submissive dog I’ve ever known. Her first instinct in most encounters is to flop over and expose her belly,” she said. “She’s also the most people-centric dog I’ve ever known – that quote from “Up” is totally her:  ‘I have just met you and I LOVE you!’”

If you any information on Maggie, please email Patch or post the information in comments, we'll pass it along the Fink family.
