More Woodinville "National Night Out" Events

Celebrations are scheduled for Wellington and 146th Ave. NE.

Tonight, August 2, Woodinville will join one of the 15,000 communities across the country to celebrate the 28th annual National Night Out, or America’s Night Out Against Crime. The national event was introduced in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), a nonprofit crime prevention organization that works with thousands of crime watch groups and law enforcement agencies.

Here is Woodinville there will be celebrations in and on 146th Ave NE. Block watch captain Kirsten Gulledge has organized a “hot dog party” for her neighborhood from 5:30-7:30 p.m., including having Woodinville Police Officer Shelia Starrett attending.

“We haven't had a block watch meeting/party in a few years, so it's time to meet everyone again and to meet the new neighbors,” Kirsten wrote Patch.
Last year, more than 37 million people participated, representing over 15,000 communities across the U.S. National Night Out is designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and encourage participation in anti-crime programs.
