Pet of the Week: Babs

One of Homeward Pet's Miracle Pups is looking for a new home.

Babs is an energetic two year-old Pit Bull/Bulldog who is patiently waiting for her new family to discover her. She’s excited to be the featured pet this week so more people can learn how special she is and how much love she has to offer. After being adopted from as part of the ‘Miracle Pups’ litter, she was returned due to her owner not having enough time to care for her. Now she is looking for someone who will truly commit to her like she deserves. In return, she is ready to spoil someone with a lifetime of love and devotion. Come meet her and you’ll see that no dog can love as much as Babs!

Thanks to the help of Sidekick Dog Training and dedicated shelter volunteers, Babs has had the opportunity to partake in general training classes. She has been learning basic skills and has shown the ability to make great progress. Babs is eager to please, and she’s looking forward to continued training with her new owner. Her goal for the future is to obtain her Canine Good Citizen certification so she may serve as a great ambassador for her breed.

Babs hasn’t had the opportunity to meet many dogs before, but she would like to have the chance if a dog with the right chemistry comes along. She would prefer male dogs with easygoing personalities. What she really lives for is people time! She absolutely loves meeting people of all ages and can’t get enough attention. Her soulful eyes just beg to be loved , and she’ll show her appreciation with the her classic non-stop tail wag.

She’s looking forward to meeting an owner who has prior dog experience and possess knowledge of the pit bull breed. She’s also looking for someone who owns their own home so she can be guaranteed a safe place to stay for the rest of her days. A securely fenced yard is also a necessity. She tips the scales at 65 pounds, so she would do best with an able handler.

Babs is truly a wonderful dog who has so much potential. She is continuing to come into her own every day, but she can’t do it by herself. She needs someone to grow with and experience all of life’s simple pleasures. Babs is ready to be your one and only. Won’t you come and meet her?
