Pet of the Week: Britches

Part Maine Coon Cat, he is looking for a Washington home to call his own

Although only his hairdresser knows for sure (or perhaps his vet) Mr. Britches appears to be part Maine Coon cat. He is a big, fluffy, mellow sweetheart! He came to Homeward Pet Adoption Center from a home with 70 other cats-it was a bad situation. Britches is so happy to just have his own clean space in his cage, he thinks the shelter isn’t so bad. Imagine how much pleasure he will feel when he gets adopted and has access to a whole house. Britches is about 7 years ‘young’ and would probably be happiest in a quiet, nurturing home.

With as many as 50 dogs and cats available at any given time and over 1,300 animals adopted out annually, Homeward Pet Adoption Center is one of the largest no-kill nonprofit companion animal shelters in the state.  All of the animals receive full medical and behavioral evaluations and our adoption staff is adept at working with people to ensure their new family member's successful transition into a permanent, loving home.

Homeward Pet Adoption Center is located in the north side of the Clearwater Spa Building at 18800 Woodinville-Snohomish Road. Adoption hours are Wednesday through Friday from 2-7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12-6 p.m. Contact us at 425-488-4444 or on the web atwww.homewardpet.org/adoptme.
