Pet of the Week: Joaquin

A young cat left homeless after his owner died.

A 3-year-old boy with a beautiful, long, black coat, Joaquin is a real attention-getter, who loves all of the attention he gets. The caretakers at use words like “so sweet”, “lovely boy” and “very friendly” to describe this good-natured youngster, who comes right to the front of his kennel for petting and sweet-talk whenever people are around.

Joaquin loves to be brushed (which he’ll need to keep his long fur as soft as it is now), and when you scratch him under the chin, he’ll put his full weight and trust in your hands. Brought to Homeward Pet because his owner passed away, Joaquin is missing that special someone in his life.

While most of us may expect to outlive our pets, it’s important to arrange care for them as you would for the rest of your family. Through its Companion Legacy Program, Homeward Pet will see that pets, like Joaquin, are well cared for while searching for an appropriate new home. For more information or guidance in arranging care for your pets, visit the Homeward Pet website.
