Pet of the Week: Lana

A sweet natured mature pooch looking for a family to call her own.

Lana is delighted to be featured pet this week! She is a wonderful dog who just needs a little help spreading the word that she’s here and waiting for a great home.

Lana is a polite and sweet-natured dog who was found abandoned at her home in Eastern Washington. Thankfully, she was spotted by kind hearted rescuers who brought her to the friendly confines of Homeward Pet.

Lana has been patiently waiting for someone to take her home, and she hopes that her special day will come soon. Although she’s considered a senior gal, this 11-year-old wants everyone to know that she is in great health and is quite active for her age.

Lana loves going for walks and for the always exciting ride in the car. At day’s end, she is perfectly content cozying up to her favorite person.

Lana weighs 76 pounds, so she is ideal for someone who prefers larger dogs, and especially those who are fond of the Labrador Retriever breed. She is a courteous dog with good house manners. Lana knows several commands and is eager to learn more.

She is good with other dogs and makes new friends when she has the opportunity. Lana would be appropriate for children of most ages and would do best in a cat free home.

She doesn’t ask for much, just someone to care for her, offering her love and kindness for the rest of her days. In return, Lana is prepared to offer someone companionship and everlasting devotion. All she needs is a chance to win someone over. Please consider visiting Homeward Pet to meet her to find out if you’re the one!

Homeward Pet will be able to help even more animals like Lana, when we move into a new building this month!  More than twice the size of the current facility, the new location will allow us to care for more animals and expand our veterinary clinic to provide more low-cost spay, neuter and microchip services to the community.

Homeward Pet is funded entirely by private donations from generous supporters. Tax-deductible donations can be made to the Homeward Pet New Building Fund at www.homewardpet.org.

Homeward Pet Adoption Center is at 18800 Woodinville-Snohomish Road, Woodinville. Our shelter is open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
