Pet of the Week: Sweetie

You met her before, she's a football fan.

Are you the nurturing type? is a shy but loveable 2-year-old Chihuahua who is seeking a special home. She originally came to from the Yakima area after her former owner could no longer care for her.Β  She would like a quiet adult home where she can feel safe and secure. Once Sweetie is comfortable with her people, she is an energetic and playful dog, enjoying long walks and play sessions with other small dogs. She prefers to be in the company of women, but could learn to trust men if they are willing to be very patient and understanding. She would be an ideal choice for someone who is fairly active and not gone from home for long periods of time. This cute little girl is longing to be loved and craves companionship.

When she’s not devotedly following her person around or keeping a lap warm, she enjoys snuggly beds and squeaky toys. Sweetie can feel a little intimidated around cats and larger dogs, but she really likes the smaller ones. She finds comfort in being in the company of confident smaller dogs and would love to have a companion to help her make the transition into a new home.

Sweetie really is a wonderful dog who needs to find her forever person, someone who will provide and care for her for the rest of her days. In return, they will be rewarded with a lifetime of love and devotion from this precious little dog. She is patiently waiting at Homeward to meet visitors. Please come and say hello today!
