Pets of the Week: Betty and Benny

Say hello to Betty and Benny! These two Shih Tzus are a bonded pair seeking a forever home after their original owner fell upon hard times and became unable to care for them. They absolutely adore each other and rely upon one another for comfort and companionship. Needless to say, they are looking for a loving home that will welcome them both. At seven years young, these dogs have plenty of love to give! These well-behaved little ones boast impressive house manners and are a joy to have around. Their calm and quiet dispositions make them an excellent choice for someone who is looking for a couple of low key companions.

Although Benny is deaf, he’s not adversely affected by his lack of hearing. His sister is always there to serve as his ears when needed. Both dogs are just under 20 pounds and are in good health. They get along well with other dogs and generally ignore cats. Betty and Benny prefer mature companionship, so they are looking for a home with adults and older teenagers.

This lovely pair enjoys leisurely walks and simply spending time at home with their favorite people. They bond quickly to those they trust and like to devotedly tag along wherever their person goes. Betty and Benny are patiently waiting for their new family to discover them.

will be able to help even more animals like Betty and Benny, when it moves into a new building this fall.  More than twice the size of the current facility, the new location will allow Homeward Pet to care for more animals and expand its veterinary clinic to provide more low-cost spay, neuter and microchip services to the community. Homeward Pet is funded entirely by private donations.

Homeward Pet Adoption Center is at 18800 Woodinville-Snohomish Rd, Woodinville. The shelter is open for visitors between noon and 6 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
