Pets of the Week: Kittens

Homeward Pet has kittens galore.

Here in the Northwest, it’s strawberry season, it’s sunshine season, it’s baseball season, and at Homeward Pet it’s kitten season.

Cats seem to give birth to their babies all at the same time in the spring, so now the kitten "crop" is ready. Most of our kittens have been raised in foster families by people who volunteer to help us socialize and nurture kittens until they are old enough to venture out on their own. All of our kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and ready to go to their forever homes. Some are long haired, some are short haired, some are tabbies, and some are solid colored. Cats can live for 15-20 years so before you run out and get a kitten or two, do make sure you are prepared to care for them for a very long time. These adorable little furry balls of energy and craziness are not for everyone, so if "laid back" is more your style, we can set you up with a more mature and mellow adult kitty.

Help control the number of kittens and puppies born, that end up homeless, or worse, euthanized, by neutering your male cat or dog. Homeward Pet is offering neutering every Wednesday for just $5 for a cat and $30 for a dog now through Aug. 31. Call (425) 488-4444 ext 410 to make an appointment.
