The Associated Press is reporting at noon Tuesday that the death toll from Hurricane Sandy has reached 39 and that 8.2 million people are without power.
On Monday evening, The Wall Street Journal tweeted that five people in New York had been killed related to the storm.
"BREAKING: Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office has confirmed at least five storm-related fatalities in New York."
