Upload Your Child's Artwork in Announcements and So Much More

At Woodinville Patch, we really like our Announcements section. Unfortunately, we feel like it's underused, and we want to change that.

That's where you come in.

What are announcements?

On Patch, announcements are opportunities for you and me to spread the news about what's important in our community. At Patch, we try to cover as much of Woodinville as we can in our stories, but for the things that we can't, announcements are where it's at.

What kinds of stories are good for announcements?

That's easy:

• Celebrate life events the right way by letting everyone know first and fast. Are you recently engaged? Why be buried on Page 23 of a Seattle newspaper? Submit an announcement to Woodinville Patch, and we can feature you on our home page! The same goes for when you have a baby, get married or experience the loss of a loved one. Plus, sharing your good or bad news with someone via the B-W Patch is as easy as sending a link.
• Our children do some amazing things. We try to keep tabs on all of the impressive young people in Woodinville — especially through our articles — but if you're itching to share your child's accomplishments, the Woodinville Patch's Announcements section is the perfect place to do so. And it's not just our kids who are accomplished. When a Woodinville business receives an industry award or when your neighbor is promoted at her law firm, Woodinville Patch announcements can document those achievements as well. Or maybe you want to do more than just tape your child’s art to the refrigerator, upload it in our announcement’s section.
• Do you need volunteers? The Woodinville Patch is dedicated to helping others and promoting volunteerism in our community. So if you need help at an event, post it on Patch! We'll help you find the people that you need.

How does one submit an announcement?

That's easy, too.

From the Woodinville Patch home page, look for the Announcements section under the News tab. From there, click the "Announce it to everyone!" button in the upper right corner. Now, you may enter a title, select a category, write a description, upload photos and/or videos and enter a location.

When you click "Post My Announcement," it becomes live on the site and available for anyone with an Internet connection to find.

We hope to see you around the Announcements section more often these days, stopping by to see what your neighbors are doing.

Truly, it's sections like our Announcements page that give theWoodinville Patch the feeling of a community gathering place.

If anything, think of our Announcements page like you would the bulletin board at your local coffee shop — a friendly, very local place to share information with your neighbors. We'll have to get to work on providing electronic coffee, but we hope that you'll come back every day just the same.
