Homeward Pet Adoption Center rescueshundreds of pets each year.

Homeward Pet Adoption Center is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter that serves Woodinville and the greater Seattle area.

The mission of the center is to give homeless dogs and cats a second chance through its rescue, shelter, and adoption programs, according to homewardpet.org.

In 1990, Peggy Barnish founded Hooterville Pet Safehaus to help the community with stray and feral cat population, said Terri Inglis, Homeward Pet executive director. Eventually, it began accepting unwanted dogs as well. In 1995 it changed its name to Homeward Pet.
