Woodinville Farmers Market, Great Place for Mother’s Day Gifts

The market is open Saturday and will be brimming with fresh flowers, jewelry and other handmade gifts for mom.

 

Mother’s Day is Sunday and if you’ve left gift buying to the last minute, you may want to check out the Woodinville Farmers Market on Saturday.

“We also will have our annual drawing for a bouquet of flowers so drop by the information booth and enter. We promise not to sell contact info for anything less than a million dollars,” said Michael Charlton, market president.

He added that Bautista Farms set up a 100 foot greenhouse this winter to get an early start on some crops. “Expect to see a few varieties of lettuce, spinach, asparagus and maybe some radishes this week,” Charlton said. 

Harvest Moon farm will have a selection of plant starts including cherry tomatoes and a slicing tomato that grows well in the local climate. Other garden plant starts like kale, lettuce, spinach will be available for shoppers to select from.

The  is on 133rdAvenue NE, right beside City Hall. The farmers market is Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until October.
