Woodinville Frugal Family Deals: End of Snow Season Sales

This week find out everything you need to know to get your entire family up to the snow on a budget.

As an avid snowboarder, while others are celebrating the arrival of spring, I'm lamenting the end of snow. The arrival of blooming daffodils means it's time to get to the mountains one more time before the snow melt. This week’s frugal finds focuses on the best deals around for that last snowboarding or skiing trip of the season.

Stevens Pass offers a special end of season pass for just $79.00 that offers unlimited access until the resort closes on April 17. This deal isn’t available online so call 206-812-4510 ext.4206. If you renew next season's pass and you get an additional savings.

Don’t want to go to Steven’s Pass? Bundle the kids and head to Crystal Mountain where children under 10 years of age always ski for free. Plus, the resort has a late-spring season allowing them to be open until June 12, conditions permitting.

Greg Moore, owner of , has three prices for one day rentals: $40 for adult, $30 for junior and $20 for children 5 and under. Those prices don’t beat Crystal’s daily rates of $35.00 for adults and $16.00 for children but consider this, at Eastside Ski & Sport though you can pick your ski’s up the night before you go to the mountains and return them the day after your done. Also, there are no long rental lines to wait in.

If you want to get a head start on next year’s snow season you will want to swing into  and check out the end of the season sale. All snowboarding gear is 20 percent off including snowboards, boots, bindings and helmets. Ski equipment is not included in this sale.

One of the best deals is from Shell gasoline’s partnership with Ski Free Deals. Buy 10 gallons of gas and get a voucher for one free child’s lift ticket with a purchase of a full price adult ticket. You have to buy gas anyway so why not buy it and get something free while you’re at it?

If you want to stay close to home The Summit at Snoqualmie offer’s the best priced night ski rates for just $39.00 you can snowboard or ski from 4-10 p.m.

Congratulations to Inglemoor and Woodinville DECA teams. I knew you'd do us proud. NorthshoreRead More School District's DECA program has been winning awards for years. One of my ex-students, Heather Pressler, a DECA award winner from Inglemoor, is now a PhD candidate in molecular biology back on the East Coast. DECA opens so many doors to success.

I have been extremely frustrated in the past in trying to effectively communicate with Frontier. MyRead More developing sense was one of very poor live support. I find it refreshing to see Frontier respond in a timely manner to this very public assertion. One can hope this is also occurring in your phone support, especially after hours...

I have spoken to Mr. Gaulke and assured him we are not cutting speeds in the Woodinville market (orRead More any of our markets). We are working with him to approach his technical issues from scratch and will do all we can to alleviate his concerns about his speeds. His business, and all the business from our customers in the Woodinville market is very valuable to us. While we are disappointed to receive feedback his service is not living up to our standards, we are grateful for the opportunity to work with Mr. Gaulke and keep his valuable business. We welcome inquiries from other customers if there is anything we can do to improve. Please reach out to me at 425.275.8579 and let us know how we can help. Frontier has spent the past three years expanding broadband to hundreds of thousands of homes acrossRead More the US and increasing speeds in many of our markets. Mr. Gaulke’s experience and recount of his conversation with one of our reps comes as a surprise to us. We are checking our records to find out what the possible miscommunication could have been. In the meantime, let us be clear: We are not decreasing speeds in Woodinvile, or any of our markets for that matter. We will be reaching out to Mr. Gaulke to see if we can alleviate any lingering concerns. Christy Reap Frontier Communications
