Woodinville Patch Pets of the Week: Tiger, Whitie, and Knox

This week two dogs and a cat are looking for homes.

Knox is one of the most beautiful cats we have seen at Homeward at Homeward Pet Adoption! This handsome brown tabby  appears to be part Maine Coon cat and has that gentle disposition that they are known for. In his previous home he had fleas and had lost some fur because of it.  His owner recently had a baby and she was unable to take care of him properly so she surrendered him to us. We have gotten Knox all fixed up and he is ready to go! He is a little shy until he gets to know you and then he is a total love! This two-year-old would be best suited for a home with older children or adults.

More of a dog family? Whitie and Tiger are two fantastic dogs who were fortunate to be rescued from an overcrowded area shelter a few months ago. Like so many animals, these boys were originally surrendered due to "moving". As they watched their beloved owner walk away, an air of despair and despondency began to overtake them. Finding comfort and strength in each other, they patiently kept an eye on the door, wondering if their person would come back, or if someone new would discover them. Passed over for adoption too many times, a call for rescue was sounded on their behalf and soon they found themselves headed north, uncertain, but excited to find that forever home that has eluded them for so long.

Residing at Homeward since late January, they take pleasure in the ample attention they receive from caring volunteers. They enjoy daily walks and regular romps together in the play yard. Both dogs will let you know when they’re pleased, howling with delight and bouncing around like youngsters.

Whitie and Tiger are the definition of a bonded pair, having spent their whole lives in each other’s company. They’re best friends who have relied on each other through times thick and thin, so it goes without saying that they must find a future home together. These boys weigh 74 and 85 pounds respectively. Finding that special person who would like to accommodate two larger dogs hasn’t been easy, but all they need is a chance.

Whitie and Tiger are both well behaved and easy to care for. They walk well on leash and boast even-tempered personalities. Their previous owner regulated them to the backyard only, so needless to say, they can’t wait for their opportunity to be part of the family like they deserve. Both dogs are very well mannered and eager to impress. They are friendly with other dogs and can likely be compatible with cats after proper introduction and some initial management. Respectful kids over the age of six years old would be a good match for this pair.

Whitie and Tiger are four years young and have a lifetime of love to offer a lucky family. Devotion and companionship will be the reward for that compassionate person willing to give these two amazing dogs a happy home.
