Woodinville Patch Picks: Where to Wear the Green This St. Patrick's Day

Celebrations abound in town and out.

Yes, it’s St. Patrick’s Day. A day when everyone claims to be Irish. Wannabes. We here at Woodinville Patch are going to steer clear of all clichés regarding this day for fear that friends and family back in Ireland will pummel us with Shillelagh (sorry, couldn’t resist just one). Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day is basically an American invention started by Irish immigrants longing for the misty green hills of Ireland (OK, that was kind of cliched). Chicago claims the bragging rights for popularizing the party, turning any liquid that could hold food coloring green, including the Chicago River. But just because we are shunning the wearing of the green (sorry, sorry) doesn’t mean you have to. Here are some places both in Woodinville and nearby to celebrate.

, 16116 140th Pl NE, is cutting the tasting fee in half for anyone wearing green from 1 – 6 p.m.

, 14525 148th Avenue NE, #111, is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with an evening of wine tasting and special treats from 5 – 8 p.m.
