Woodinville Sustainable Veggie Gardening Seminar Saturday

The Woodinville Water District's first free gardening seminar is Saturday, April 21.

 

Even in the rainy northwest, growing your own vegetables is possible and can even be fun (). If you need help getting started, the is launching its seasonal free garden seminars Saturday, April 21.

Landscape designer and environmental educator Emily Bishton will guide you through growing berries, vegetables and fruit trees. Growing food sustainably in the Pacific Northwest does take some time and effort, but the rewards are tasty home-grown food.

The seminar will be held at Woodinville Water District; from 10 – 11:30 a.m. Master gardeners will be on hand for a half hour before and after each seminar to answer gardening questions.  Attendance for the seminars is free, but pre-registration is necessary due to space limitations. To register, call 425-487-4100. .
