Featured Event: 2012 Artist's Studio Tour This Weekend, May 19-20

Tour coordinated by the Sammamish Valley Arts Center. Studios will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.

 

Woodinville is home to many highly skilled fine artists. This weekend, May 19-20 brings an opportunity to meet 19 local visual artists during the 2012 Artist’s Studio Tour coordinated by the Sammamish Valley Arts Center. Studios will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Artist Studio Tour is a self-guided tour showcasing exhibits of professional quality artwork, working artist’s studios, demonstrations and artists in action. Artists will be exhibiting artwork created in a variety of styles ranging from modern abstract to realistic. All of the exhibiting Artists will be available to discuss what their art is about, why they create it and the techniques and materials used.

The two and three dimensional works of fine art exhibited during the Studio Tour have been created in a wide range of media, including oil painting, watercolors, acrylic, egg tempera, pastel, colored pencil, graphite, pen and ink, paper collage, jewelry, fused and slumped glass, sculpture and ceramic pottery.

This year we have fine art combined with the taste of fine wine and mead with Artist exhibits in Trouvaille Winery, Adytum Cellars and Sky River Meadery.

Exhibiting Artists include B.J. Kjeldsen watercolor painting, Tim Schriever sculpture, Robert Moreno ceramic pottery, Chloe Rees oil paintings, Lynn Fleming acrylic paintings, Ted Pankowski oil paintings, D.L. Crawford oil paintings, Andrea Rieger acrylic paintings, Glenda Downs graphite drawings, Theresa Neinas block prints, Lisa Nicholson fused glass, Mayumi Terao mixed media painting, Rosie Peterson oil paintings, Stacie Clark watercolors and jewelry, Kim Weers mixed media objects, Eden Hopkins oil paintings, Mallory Milke acrylic paintings, Ron Baum mixed media, Susan Krey doll.

Attendee’s should pick up a “Studio Passport” and have it stamped at each location to be entered into a drawing for a gift basket of art supplies donated by Aaron Brothers Art & Framing in Woodinville.

The Studio Tour is free to attend and open to the public. Studio locations will be marked with signs. The Studio Tour map and brochure are available online at www.sammamishvalleyartscenter.org or can be picked up at the SVAC-Gallery 113 in the Apple Farm Village 14525 148th Ave NE in the Woodinville Hollywood District.

  7. Fill out a description for your event. Tell us why we should be there and what to expect at the event.
  8. If you'd like to add photos, videos or a flier, click "Choose files to upload."
  9. Choose a category and fill out any other information, such as who the event is best for, the price, a contact number or email address, website, etc.
  10. Click "Post My Event."
  11. Tell all your friends how easy it was!
