Snohomish County Set to Demolish Buildings at Wellington Hills Park
Neighbors To Save Wellington Park (NSWP) has learned that Snohomish County plans to tear down the Wellington Hills golf club buildings.
Local Wellington area residents noticed a large truck with a large backhoe as well as several workers wearing HAZMAT type clothing in the parking lot adjacent to the old golf course clubhouse and main building on Feb. 25.
The work party foreman said they had permits to knockdown the (former golf-related) structures although there isn’t a notification sign near the street. He also said they would be finished in a few days.
Neighbors To Save Wellington Park (NSWP) have called and written Snohomish County Council members asking then to stop the destruction of the buildings, adding the question: Why is it necessary to destroy the structures, especially since the Council hasn’t voted on the proposed sports complex plan?
