Amazon Enters the Facebook Gaming Fray

Amazon launches "Living Classics" game on Facebook.

Wanting to cash in on the lucrative casual gaming craze, Amazon launched its own Facebook game on Monday.

Called "Living Classics," the game tasks players with reuniting a family of foxes by exploring scenes from classic books like Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz and King Arthur.

Amazon said it's begun making games because "We know that many Amazon customers enjoy playing games β€” including free-to-play social games β€” and thanks to Amazon's know-how, we believe we can deliver a great, accessible gaming experience that gamers and our customers can play any time."
