This post was written by former Bigfoot Bagels and current Woodinville Bagel Bakery employee Joe Mewa. Woodinville Bagel Bakery is located at 14126 NE Woodinville Duvall Rd in Woodinville.
After 15 years of business Bigfoot Bagels has closed its doors. That’s not to say Woodinville will be without great bagels now. Two, local entrepreneurs and college buddies, Hussein Patwa and AJ Ghambari, have taken responsibility of making sure Woodinville gets its bagel fix.
With that being said, this new venture includes a top-to-bottom remodel, updated menu offerings and tons of fresh, high quality, locally sourced ingredients! Not to take anything away from Bigfoot but it was definitely time to freshen the place up a bit. And that’s exactly what Hussein and AJ have done. Don’t worry the same great staff will be there, along with a few new faces.

Some of the new offerings include homemade soups, bagel dogs, calzones, open-faced melts and best of all scratch egg scrambles; no more processed, pre-cooked egg patties! These guys are doing it right, believe me, quality has gone through the roof, and we’re now serving up some of the best espresso in town! Our new espresso machine rocks!
My personal favorites are the crab melt and the artichoke chicken pesto calzone. I know everyone is going to love the improvements and don’t worry, I, Joe will still be there in full force! I sincerely appreciate what Hussein and AJ have done and I’m not going anywhere!

I have always seen tons of potential in this shop over the 10 years I’ve worked here, but it was always a challenge to implement new ideas to help the business move forward. I felt like we were always settling and stuck in a rut. Our new owners are passionate, hard working and are full of creative ideas. Their focus on community and serving people is downright inspiring. I’m very excited to be a part of this and take great pride in the vision and new direction we’re headed!
