Amazing Kitchen Race: Scavenger Hunt & Cooking Competition - Parties That Cook

This class will run from 11:00am - 3:00pm

Assemble your own team of 4 or join us solo and we'll set you up with a team for this action-packed adventure where Top Chef meets the Amazing Race! Parties That Cook has partnered with John Chen, CEO of Playtime, Inc. to bring you this exciting hybrid of Geoteaming and our very ownKitchen Challenge. This 4-hour event starts with a fast-paced, high-energy race against the clock using GPS receivers to gather hidden clues planted throughout the city. The miles and feet tick off the GPS as teams get closer to the hidden caches, later redeemable for advantages in the kitchen. Photos document their success before its back to the races. Teams must meet their deadline, or there's a stiff price to pay back in the kitchen!

When the hunt for cache is over, you return to the Seattle Wine Outlet, where you're greeted with a nibble, a nametag, and a well-deserved beverage. Guests are treated to a lively, interactive cooking demonstration by one of Parties That Cook's top chefs before breaking back into teams to compete for the winning dish. Each team will create an appetizer recipe from the day's tantalizing menu of international tapas and present their dish to the judges.

When the cooking is over, guests mix and mingle, savoring the 'fruits' of their labor, while final dishes are judged. Prizes are awarded to the winning team based on their success in the field and the kitchen. After the event, copies of the recipes and digital photos are emailed to the group. Cooking classes will never be the same!
