Monastrell is a varietal grown in many regions around the world including: Spain, France and Portugal. It is also known as Mourvèdre and is the main varietal in Bandol from France. Monastrell out of Spain is also Mouvedre. The name Mataró is used in Portugal and parts of the New World.
